He seems to visit on a surprisingly regular schedule - once every three years, almost exactly, right around the end of winter! Below are three pictures we took of him over the past six years.  February 12th, 2008  March 1st, 2005  March 16th, 2002 Barred owls have a very distinct call, which some people say sounds like they are asking, "Who cooks for you?"
